Catherine was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. Catherine has been in the dental field since she was in high school. Her high school offered a dental assisting/laboratory program that she had interest in and enrolled for 3 years while in high school. Through this program, she was able to obtain a position in a private office as a dental assistant. While working in the office as a dental assistant, she realized she enjoyed helping patients improve their oral health while feeling comfortable in the dental chair.
She decided to pursue her career as a dental hygienist. While she continued to work as a dental assistant, she went to dental hygiene school and graduated with her associates degree in 2011 from Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey. Catherine also knew she had a passion for teaching since she was a child, so she then went on to obtain her BS degree in allied health with a focus in education. She graduated from SUNY Farmingdale with her BS degree in 2014.
Catherine has experience in many different settings and populations, she has worked in general and pediatric offices. In additional to providing dental hygiene care to the patients of private offices she has also worked in hospital-based settings, as an adjunct clinical instructor and for NYU college of dentistry in community outreach.
Catherine enjoys coming to work everyday to provide oral health care to her patients. She is kind, friendly, and understanding of the patients’ needs. She makes her patients feel comfortable and at ease when receiving dental care.
Catherine has recently relocated to live in New Jersey with her family. Outside of work she is also a mom of two young children. On her free time she spends it with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling and trying new places.
